Online Counseling for Depression
You feel tired.
You have no interest or motivation to do anything. You don't believe there is a point in even trying because nothing is going to work anyway. You feel hopeless and desperate.
You cannot really understand your despair. Your life is not that bad. Logically you know that your life is okay. You know that there are people who have it worse. However, thinking this way does not change how you feel.
You try to ignore those feelings, but a complete lack of motivation affects your life anyway. You see all the things you need to do, but you just cannot get up and do them. You just don't see the point.
People around do not understand what is happening with you.
They think that you are exaggerating, and all you need is to get a new job or go out more often. Sometimes you even believe them and try, but those actions do not bring the relief you desire.
You look for support and closeness, but people often reject and judge you. You feel like a black sheep. You are not sure that you belong with your family and friends. You feel lonely.
You may have doubts that you chose the right career. At the same time, you have no idea what profession would make you happier. So, you just give up and settle for what you have trying to convince yourself that it could be worse.
You may think about the meaning of your life, and what you do for other people. Everything may seem meaningless and pointless.
The despair and sadness are gone.
You are full of energy and excitement! You know what are the things you enjoy, and you do them every day. You life is fun and adventurous!
You are confident.
You know yourself, and you know how to deal with the difficulties you encounter. You know when to take responsibility to resolve things, and when you need to ask for help, and let other people be there for you.
You are able to create and maintain close relationships.
Your love and respect for yourself help you love and respect others. You find or create a place where you belong: you are surrounded by like-minded people.
Your life is full of love.
You have a fulfilling career. You have a loving family who understands and supports you. You have friends whom you feel a deep connection with.
You live a joyful and fulfilling life!
Let me be of service!
I can help you face your depression. I understand just how desperate you feel! How painful this lack of understanding from other people is!
In our therapy sessions, we can explore the origins of the wounds that make you feel so desperate, and bring the healing of love to them. We can figure out how to deal with the lack of support from people around you, and where to find people who are supportive.
I offer you a judgement and criticism free environment where you can be yourself and discover who you truly are on a deeper level. We can distinguish learned behaviors from your true nature. Therapy sessions are a space where you can be heard and understood.
At the same time, I cannot promise that we will never misunderstand or disagree with each other. In some ways, therapeutic relationship is no different than any other, and there can be misunderstandings and disagreements. However, the difference is that you can be open with me about your thoughts and feelings so we can come to clarity and mutual understanding.

Is online therapy effective for depression?
You may wonder if online therapy works. We are not in the same room, and we can be thousands of miles away from each other. Online therapy does work! There is a growing body of research proving that. I can add from my own experience that despite a common belief distance is not an obstacle for sincere and emotionally deep relationships. Distance does not exist for feelings and emotions.
You may have a doubt that there is hope. It is understandable. Your despair and that negative voice in your head can be very convincing. They can make you feel that there is no hope for change, for a better life. It is not true! Everything can change!
Therapy may seem like a lot of work. I know that even a thought of doing more "work" seems unappealing to you, but we can make it as easy as possible. All you have to do is show up. Therapy does not have to be hard and difficult, it can be fun, too. Imagine talking about all your pains with someone who sincerely cares about you and understands you. I can do that!
How long may it take for the things to change? It depends on how deep your wounds run and how much time and effort you want to commit to therapy. If you want quicker results, we can meet more often. However, more frequent sessions make the process of therapy more intense. It does not work for everyone, but it is an option.
Is therapy worth the money? I invite you to look at it as an investment in yourself. A very significant one. Any material investments can lose their value, but the skills and knowledge you get stay with you forever. They become part of your worldview.
I look forward to get to know you and help you live a joyful and fulfilling life!
